What we build

Built and glazed in Monroe, Georgia.

Tucker manufactures its own wood sash in Monroe, Georgia, and glazes it in house on a Cardinal Glass line, which means the person you call about a size, a radius head, or a date can walk out to the line and look at your order.

Both series use a 6/4 wide stile sash treated with Wood Life 111 water repellent preservative, boot glazed so the sash weeps and can be reglazed years from now. Units are quoted to the rough opening, for new construction and replacement work. When only the sash has failed, we build a kit to fit the frame that is already in the wall. If the job wants a maintenance free exterior instead, that is the vinyl window line.

Two wood double hung series.

Same sash, two finishes. The Classic 1100 leaves the wood natural inside and out for stain; the Traditional 2100 comes primed outside for paint. Both also run as stationary units, transoms, and the architectural shapes further down.

Eight configurations, in both wood series.

The series is the finish. The unit is what goes in the opening. Both wood series share the same unit types, as singles, twins, triples, and combinations.

Double hung single Both sashes operate and tilt in, so the glass gets cleaned from inside. The most specified unit in the line.
Double hung twin Two units mulled together in one frame, up to 6‑0 wide overall. One rough opening, one install.
Double hung triple Three mulled units, up to 9‑0 wide overall. The whole wall of glass arrives as one assembly.
Stationary single Does not open. All glass, no meeting rail across the middle, for the view the builder is paying for.
Sash set Reads like a double hung from the street but neither sash operates. Available as singles, twins, and triples.
Continuous transom A single transom running the full width of a combination unit, rather than one stacked over each window.
Flankers Narrow operating units set either side of a wider fixed center. Light and air without breaking up the view.
Transom A short fixed unit above a window or a door, 12 to 36 inches tall. Adds height without changing the opening below.

The wood series have their own chart: double hung singles from 1‑8 to 3‑8 wide and 3‑2 to 6‑2 tall, with wood egress sizes marked separately from PVC and vinyl. Twins and triples are sized by overall width. Outside of jamb and rough opening dimensions for every size are on the sizing sheets, and anything off the chart is a phone call.

Circle heads, arch and segmented arch transoms, clip trapezoids and pentoids are all available on the wood series as a catalog order. Trim profiles and the full simulated divided lite patterns are on the same sheet. Anything not on it goes to the shop and gets built to the drawing.
